The Yes We Will Bus Gets Rolling To Inauguration

Leaving November 29, 2008 from California, the Yes We Will Bus Will bus will arrive in Washington DC on Jan 20, 2009 for the Inauguration Speech. On the way, they will be shooting a documentary and capturing footage on the road as well as interviewing folks at mini rally’s in each city. Yes We Will strategically chose a route based on Obama supporters. The plan, as reported by their website, is to also move into RED (republican) states and see if (on tape) they can get a republican commitment to join, as a people. Collecting footage from election night from every day citizens to be used in the documentary, the plan is also to locate historical figures and set up meetings for interviewing.

On November 22, 2008, Yes We Will will host a “Wine, Cheese & Checks Fundraiser” with special invited celebrity guests: Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith, Omar Epps, Tisha Campbell-Martin,Tichina Arnold, Hill Harper, Isaiah Washington, MC Lyte, Queen Laifah,Keyshia Cole, Megan Good, Lauren London, Vanessa & Angela Simmons,Marcus Pope, Brian White and Trina McGee and more to be announced.
