Twitter Me This: Crying Over Split Tweets Obama, Britney Spears hacked – other accounts stolen

Twas quiet on the twitter front this Monday.  Unable to access our most popular twitter account, didn’t feel much like doing anything else.  January 2, 2009 we predicted the death of twitter and on January 3rd until now, it has felt like we’re attending its wake.  Though we were wrong about the source (though hilghly frustrated with a single culprit) it seems a more serious attack loomed.

Saturday we tweeted our friends for their hot blog posts for the weekend for our weekend update.  Just as we had asked for the barage of links, there it was, the scam.  Not paying full attention, clicked the link.  That wasn’t the worst.  Got distracted and when turning back to the PC saw the sign on screen.  Shocked that we were or appeared to be “logged out”, we logged back in and thus hacked.

Though news traveled fast through twitter with folks complaining about getting so many DM’s, the solution was slowly traveling.  We changed our password.  However to our surprised, on Monday morning we no longer could access the account.  Stolen! Our most popular twitter profile is at this point going.  @Sistory is what we morn at this point instead of twitter.  Twitter is still kicking and thanks to the turmoil, its getting thousand of new members by the minute.

Rather than cry of spilt tweets, we’ll just wait for a solution and hope we don’t have to lose this profile for good.  Meanwhile, we’re incogtwito – back home @DryerBuzz.
