TV One and BET Thrilled Audiences Easter Sunday Night with Trumpet Awards and Sunday Best

Highly unlikely, thought not even probable – it’s a miracle!

DryerBuzz The Cut — Both TV One and BET captured and thrilled audiences Easter Sunday night.  TV One presented the taping of the 2009 Trumpet Awards hosted by Sherri Sheppard and Anthony Anderson.  A staple and historic event for Atlanta, Trumpet Awards pay tribute to the achievement of African Americans and others.  “Success and achievement has no color or gender,” Xernona Clayton concluded at the end of an awesome show.

At the same time, multiviewing as usual, audiences flipped back and forth to catch the Sunday Best hosted by Kirk Franklin with judges Mary Mary and BeBe Winans.  Sunday Best is no amatuer hour.  Contestants bring their A game and the holy spirit.

In one evening filled with pride, the stage was set with performances and appearances by En Vogue, Regina Belle, Teena Marie, Keyshia Cole, Chris Tucker, Dietrick Haddon, many more and of course everybody was in the house. For a list of awards, visit Trumpet Awards Foundation‘s website.

Both TV One and BET focus on providing programming for African American audiences. However BET remains controversial with slightly negative programs, disappointing reality shows and video content. If you missed it, no doubt you can catch both again. Sunday Best airs Sundays on BET.  TV One is sure to replay the Trumpet Awards.
