Women’s Empowerment Summit Focuses on Black Women’s Total Wellness

The Extreme Makeover For the Woman’s Soul (EMFWS) Empowerment Summit and Wellness Retreat will be held on July 17-18, 2009 in Atlanta , in part as a fundraiser for the Center for Black Women’s Wellness. Organized by Jireh Communications Group, the EMFWS event is a comprehensive, holistic approach to addressing key issues that affect the total well-being of women.

With the growing number of Black women in the workplace, the prevalence of domestic violence in the African American community, and health issues including heart disease and AIDS, this event will focus on work/life balance, career advancement and coping strategies. Reflecting the message that well women win, the theme is “Winning in the Game of Life.”
