Pookie Ain’t Got a President To Negotiate Peace with Police

According to a recent release citing numbers from the census, Pookie may have voted in the last election victorious for now President Barack Obama.  Pookie may have voted, but Pookie ain’t got a president to negotiate peace with police.  At post time, the President is in the midst of diffusing his remarks on what has been considered to be a highly visible racial profiling case – Henry Louis Gates Jr vs Cambrige Police.

We often throw Pookie under the bus when we talk about issues concerning Black America.  Don’t know if Pookie is ready for this one.  Both the President and the Cambridge Police Department in deflecting attention away from themselves admit that racial profiling does exist in this country.  However in the up-in-the-air case of Gates versus Cambridge, the three parties involved are about to get together and have a beer to settle it.  Not sure if it will be reflected in the books, but Gates “disorderly conduct” has become two good men “overacting” as cited by the President.

Classim?  A favor between one Harvard man to another? The victim being the Cambridge police officer? If one would recall, during the two years prior to the national election, then Senator Obama was asked a number of times about situations that might involve people like Pookie and it was always “no comment.” In fact, on the day of the Jena Six march, the then Senator flew not to Jena but to Atlanta to make an appearance at a political fund-raising party. A whole lot of Pookies are in Jena.

Don’t want the President to address Pookie nationally.  Some folks might get a little up in arms. But since Pookie is very familiar with beer.  We’ll be watching the meeting at the Whitehouse to see what brand brings about peace with police.
