Lanre Da Silva-Ajayi, one of Nigeria’s foremost fashion innovators and trendsetters, will make her USA debut at Couture Fashion Week presenting her latest collection of inspired creations. The fashion show will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the world-famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel on New York’s legendary Park Avenue.

Red Carpet Collection by Designer Andres Aquino to Feature an Array of International Performers at the Waldorf-Astoria

Designer and fashion show producer Andres Aquino will present his latest collection entitled “Red Carpet” as part of the upcoming season of Couture Fashion Week. The runway show is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday September 12, 2009 in the Starlight Roof of the world-famous Waldorf-Astoria, New York City. The fashion show will be followed by the Couture Fashion Week Ball.

Opera Rock Diva Kimera to Thrill Couture Fashion Week Audiences

In addition to the exquisite fashions on parade at Couture Fashion Week, the event also features world-class performers. The next event will be held September 11-13, 2009 at the Waldorf-Astoria on New York City’s Park Avenue.

DryerBuzz.com (08.28.09) — We know that Precious (starring Gabourey ‘Gabby’ Sidibe, Monique, Mariah Carey) is not Color Purple part two but the new film is creating similar buzz and definitely following in its footsteps: Story line adapted from a popular novel, Push: A Novel by Sapphire; highly anticipated and buzz worthy performances way before expected release; abuse and redemption theme; stars galore; oh oh oh and Oprah associated with the project. Like Color Purple, the theme of this movie is not pretty judging from the trailer. We’re told the strong tones and graphic abuse may be heart to sit through for those unfamiliar with the story.

As opening weekend approaches and especially opening day, November 6, 2009, we’ll follow the buzz at #preciousmovie. Meanwhile we’re following Monique as she readies for the release of her nightly entertainment show coming to BET. — DryerBuzz.com
