myATLevents Twitter Warned Readers of What is Now #atlflood 2009
DryerBuzz.com – Normally our sister site www.myATLevents.com is the one to follow for events around Atlanta, but Sunday, September 20, 2009 as the rains came, @myATLevents‘ twitter became the one to watch for weather. When the rain continued for hours, we checked weather radars online and saw parts of the city, Douglas, Carroll and Paulding counties under sever storms with no relief in sight. Not much live news on Sunday nights, so we thought to take the precaution to give our followers a heads up going into the storms in case we lost connections.
Shortly after 1AM we started receiving tweets back that the water was rising.
