Acclaimed Wedding Planner to Host ‘First of-its-Kind’ Weekend Wed-a-Thon Startng November 14th

Seeing is Believing — myATLevents — A renowned Atlanta wedding planner is organizing one of the most unique wedding events in the nation. From 8:00am Saturday, November 14th, to 12:01am Monday morning, November 16th, Sylvia Wayfer-Clark, owner of “Weddings by Stephanie Marie” will coordinate 40 non-stop, 1-hour weddings and receptions for 40 couples participating in the extraordinary event. The event combines two causes… (1) Helping couples have a wedding and reception that may have been beyond their reach in today’s economic environment, and (2) raising funds and needed household items for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.

While the concept of fundraising isn’t new, “40-40-40 for the children” breaks new ground in fundraiser events. Specifically, “40-40-40” stands for 40 weddings & receptions in 40 hours for 40 dollars per bride/groom. The format is a “Wed-a-thon”, where couples will participate in a formal wedding ceremony and reception with the full compliment of traditions – first dance, cutting of the wedding cake, bouquet toss and more.
