Presidents Don’t Know What They Don’t Know – Hush Mongrels: It’s Beer Summit Day (July 30) – Follow the Buzz
July 30, 2010
No I did not watch the President on The View. Two streets over from Main Street and a paycheck from middle class, was else where at the original air date and time – a place called work – i.e. the 2nd Job. Judging by the trending topic #mongrel, we decided to save the viewing for a later historic date. All that aside it is Beer Summit Day 2010. Having already predicted President Obama would insert foot by Beer Summit Day (July 30th) there was nothing to it but to do it. And do it he did. In avoiding Beer Summit Day, the President is visiting “The Great Beer State” of Michigan to check on the great bailout of the auto industry. Presidents don’t know what they don’t know.
Hush mongrels. Grab a beer. You’ll find its a great cure for #ObamaFootMouth as it was for #BushFootMouth (when he could form a sentence). One good thing the President did say a year ago, “it is a time for us to listen to each other.” I will add, #race is the one aspect we may not have in common, but there are millions that we do. I love man. . . (could be the beer talking).

The Buzz Behind the Buzz on #mongrel
The president appeared on ABC’s morning talk show “The View” Thursday, where he talked about the forced resignation of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod, his experience with race and his roots. When asked about his background, which includes a black father and white mother, Obama said of African-Americans: “We are sort of a mongrel people.” — Put the quote back in context and read more at thehill.com
More Buzz Behind the Buzz
Were Barack Obama to make explicit his multi-racial identity (his mother was caucasian and his dad was black), he could personify the leading edge of what America will become, and thus serve innately as a leader. That is to say, he will have led through his person–as a symbol personified–as the a sign of things to come. The USA is finally becoming a real melting pot, transcending “black vs. white.” Nature’s integration will solve the artificial problem of racism far more than any government program or even a US President who identifies himself with one “side.” Put quote back in context and read more via Transcending Dichotomies: The First Multiracial US President | euandus3.wordpress.com
