Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets seen on the court playing the New York Knicks …
Kris Humphries received a less-than-warm welcome back to the basketball court on Wednesday.
Following the announcement of Kris’ re-signing with the New Jersey Nets – with a hefty pay raise to $8 million a year– the 26-year-old athlete was booed mercilessly during his first game back with the team against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
“That was not a smattering of boos,” Madison Square Garden announcer Al Trautwig remarked during the overwhelming heckling. “That’s villain in the Garden kind of booing.”
Kris seemed to take the animosity in stride, telling ESPN he worked hard to block out the booing.

House Republicans Cave on Payroll Tax Cuts Extension (ABC News)
House Republican leaders have decided to accept a short-term extension of the payroll tax cut, sources told ABC News this afternoon, staving off a hike in taxes just nine days before a payroll tax break for 160 million Americans expires.
House GOP appeared to be adopting a compromise suggestion by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell who, earlier today, urged the House to pass the two-month extension in exchange for the Senate appointing members to a conference committee, which will negotiate a longer-term extension. The proposal won a nod of approval from President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Inside Atlanta Radio – It’s the revolving door of radio. Never know who’s coming or going. Nor do you ever get to say goodbye OR hello with a proper greeting. Just have to keep listening.
Atlanta seems to be warming quickly to Mo Ivory where the social opinion is a favorable one when it comes to political talk.
During the first week after yanking Warren Ballentine from the line up, the news and talk station at CBS Atlanta WAOK went through a short list of possible replacements by letting each (some familiar some not) host a single day. Then Mo Ivory was given not just a day, but a week, and now it sounds like a second week?
Mo Ivory is the Community/Political Specialist at CBS Radio Atlanta. She was born in the Bronx, NY and attended Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. She received her law degree from Temple University School of Law. (from Facebook)
WAOK needs to make a decision quick and get behind the voice that will reside in the time slot. The slot has what we feel to be some hot competition as it relates mobile and internet listeners.
Die hard “truthfighters,” as Ballentine’s listeners are called, can simply follow him online and via mobile with the popular radio app TuneIn. But long before Ballentine left, some who longed for political and or local talk were already making the switch.
Thus the real competition comes from two other former station mates — Shelley Wynter a heavy hitting conservative and the other is Joyce Littel, renowned radio personality for over 26 years, including 15 years as a host at WAOK’s sister station WVEE-FM.
Radio veteran Joyce Littel has put together her own team and lineup after launching FMDigitalLive.com. Joyce is the host of the Joyce Little Show, which you can WATCH live and streaming right here at DryerBuzz.com from 11′ish to 1Pm. Sitting in with her, you will find Miss Sophia and DJ Herb (sound familiar). We hear Miss Sophia is coming with her own morning show to kick of 2012.
Some how we find a way to listen and support them all. Radio like newspapers and TV ain’t what it used to be. It is a different medium and continues to expand right before our ears.
VideoBuzz: Goldie Taylor (@goldietaylor) while on recent political news panel said of the Payroll Tax Cut debate, “What they are trying to do is kill the extension for a year on working class Americans and blame it on the president. That’s what this game is about and they ought to cut it out right now!” Taylor fumed. “What $1,000 dollars would do for working class Americans is pay for rent, pay for groceries, keep the damn lights on! And I’m sick and damn tired of the talking points that get pushed out on this thing.” Follow the Buzz via Goldie Taylor ‘Sick And Damn Tired’ Of Republicans Failing To Extend Payroll Tax Cut
