Hair She Goes! — Atlanta Buzz — Julie Dash’s classic “Daughters of the Dust” turns 21 this year. The Black Women Film Network kicks off its Black Women Film Festival by celebrating this groundbreaking film. The original print will be shown at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Drive, Atanta, June 14 at 7pm. For tickets visit Landmark Cinema or www.blackwomenfilm.org. Julie Dash will be present at the screening and film icon Dr. Ayoka Chenzira, Spelman College Digital Moving Image Salon, will introduce Dash. A question and answer session will follow.
