The Clippings: NAACPfail! Mitt Romney Booed At NAACP Convention | What Ever Happened to Poker Face Politics?

Hair She Goes — VideoBuzz: Presidential candidate Mitt Romney braved the stage July 11, 2012 at the NAACP convention taking place in Houston, Texas.  With its convention in Texas, one would think NAACP was ready to play poker politics.  Texas brings to mind the phrase “You Got To Know When To Hold Them, Know When To Fold Them.” Kenny Rogers get out of my head.

Clearly NAACP members and convention goers know nothing about showing a poker face and thus showed all their cards with one calculated move by candidate Romney. This was not the time to show your hand. Romney was not even the opponent at this hour.  Listening to and responding to Romney with poker face would have had both candidate Romney and the incumbent President Barack Obama raising their bets, putting more in the pot, upping the ante.  Now what? We have to agree with Reverend Al Sharpton in that, Romney has proven to his based that he can stand firm to his convictions.  Let me interject some Bernie Mac… think is a democracy in America.

President Barack Obama has shown us time and time again, that he responds to his critics first.  NAACP just jumped to the back of the line. Boooo! – Yalanda P. Lattimore
