Hair She Goes! New Zion Baptist Church Host “1000 Women in White” Free Two-Day Symposium August 25-26, 2012 | Speakers Include Women In Atlanta Radio
Hair She Goes! — Living Atlanta Style! — New Zion Baptist Church and Pastor Paul Hollman are inviting women from all walks of life to join them at “1000 Women in White”, a free two-day symposium that will take place on Saturday, August 25 through Sunday, August 26, 2012. This gathering of women from all walks of life and from across metro Atlanta will be held at 815 Lynhurst Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
The purpose of 1000 Women in White is to provide a vehicle and a place for women, from all walks of life, to engage in meaningful dialogue, exchange ideas, and come together across social, economic and age difference for common goals. The aftermath of 1000 Women in White will be to create a manifesto for women to thrive, achieve, and succeed in the 21st century.
This event will kick-off on Saturday, August 25th at 9:00am, with workshops on relationships, self-esteem, finance, health & wellness, and more. Workshop Sessions will include presentations by Dr. Teresa Hairston (publisher of Gospel Today and founder of Gospel Heritage Festival), Carolyn Young (CEO of GoodWorks International, LLC. and Wife of Former Mayor Andrew Young), Janice Mathis, (Attorney with Rainbow PUSH Coalition), Gina Chaney (CEO of Financial Revelations), and Joyce E. Brooks (Author); and Fitness Consultant Kortni Boyd. Women in radio will add color to the symposium and moderate the Saturday morning sessions. Radio will be represented by Jean Ross (CBS Radio – WAOK/WVEE), Lorraine Jacque White (CBS Radio WAOK), Twanda Black (Cox Radio – WALR), Marie More (Radio-One – WHAT /107.9), and Condace Pressley (Cox Radio – WALR, WSB). Guests will be treated to beauty services, a Luncheon as well as Fashion Show by the Wilbourn Sisters Designs, Inc.

1000 Women in White will culminate with a celebration service on Sunday evening, August 26th at 6:00pm. Special guests include On-Air Radio Personality and Attorney, Mo Ivory; Radio Personality Evangelist Collins and Singer/Actress Crissy Collins, who has appeared in several of Tyler Perry’s movies and stage plays. There will be something for everyone: musical talent, entertainment and a powerful message from T. Renee Crutcher of Sankofa Ministries & Tellin’ Our Story Publishing, Inc. The evening will conclude with a dessert reception. This two-day event will inspire women from all walks of life.
