AFROPUNK “Carnival of Consciousness” in Atlanta takes place at 787 Windsor. It will be held Saturday 14- Sunday, Oct 15 for two days of live music, conversation and good vibes.
Atlanta places and spaces (and traffic) make room for what The New York Times describes as “the most multicultural festival in the US.” With dates around the world including Paris and London, AFROPUNK burst beyond the seams of Brooklyn, and now buzzing Atlanta. A party with a conscience. Solange, Miguel, Willow Smith, Danny Brown, and others appear on stage. Off stage there’s conversations and solutions centered around decriminalizing blackness though widely appropriated.
The Solution Sessions – a social salon, is a unique space within the weekend’s programming that provides an opportunity to mobilize, inspire, engage, inform, and to rally some of our brightest around the importance of civic participation, diverse thinking, and encouraging attendees to envision themselves making a difference & supporting social innovations.
Solution Sessions will air on AfroPunk Facebook Saturday and Sunday 12-4p. Sessions feature Melissa Harris-Perry, Yvonne Orji, Ebonee Davis, Miss Lawrence and others.
