Haircare industry professionals from across the country arrive in Atlanta, Ga. November 12th for the Natural Hair Industry Convention (NHIC). Unlike many consumer-driven natural hair shows, the NHIC will equip and empower more than 500 industry professionals with the necessary skills and in-depth knowledge required to better meet the evolving hair care needs of a growing natural hair clientele.
Now in its 4th year, NHIC is the brainchild of DMV hairstylists, Susan Peterkin-Bishop and Angela Walker.
“According to the research firm Mintel, 71% of black adults in the U.S. wore their hair naturally at least once in 2016,” says Angela Walker, co-founder of the Natural Hair Industry Convention.
The Natural Hair Industry Convention takes place on Sunday, November 12th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST
at the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel.
