Watch Tiffany Haddish Saturday Night Live monologue | First in 43 Years? | Follow the Buzz DryerBuzz

#DryerBuzz — You already know we cannot write this post without letting 43 years of bitterness come through. So you, the SNL viewer, watched Saturday Night Live all these years with no consideration that a Black Female comedian has never had a change to deliver the show’s opener.

Now comes Tiffany Haddish, the breakout star of Girls Trip with Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and of The Carmichael Show.

When we saw headlines about Tiffany Haddish making history, we were like what? But SNL is a comedian’s platform?  How they keep black female comedians out for 43 years (as reported by – who threw shade first).

A number of trending females have graced SNL’s stage whether we liked their skits or not.  We clutched our pearls when we heard the show which launched thousands of somewhat funny people, has never done the same for Black Girls who got jokes. Every time we try to get excited about Haddish’s appearance, all those other emotions came flooding back.

Did we watch live.  Hecks no.  We never do.  But did we watch the highlights.  Yes, right before we posted the video in this post.  Just as suspected — and appears Tiffany was well aware too — this was for another audience.

Let me just put the video here for people to watch before ya’ll say, DryerBuzz always rocking the boat.  If you don’t know, rocking the boat is how you get the water out, so everybody can ride. Great job rocking that monologue Tiffany Haddish.
