thefreshxpress.com — It seems as if lately, women especially African American women have been wearing the label “bitch” like it’s Superwoman’s cape. I don’t know when this started perhaps Trina’s to blame but I am appalled with what ease the term rolls off of men’s tongues and how de-sensitized we, as a females, have become to it.

I guess this all started when I was reading the Facebook status of one of my male friend’s after the VMAs. It read “Alicia Keys was the finest bitch there tonight.” I thought to myself dag, I understand what he was trying to say but did he have to call her out of her name to get his point across?

E. Lynn was not only an author, but a compassionate soul who reached out to so many through his books, and through his friendships.

Question everything or fall for anything.  The branding says “our lives, our world, our stories,” but the bottom line says “satisfies the desire of African Americans to stay informed and connected with their community.”  TheGrio.com also calls itself “the first video-centric news community.”  Well people don’t know what they don’t know and when they don’t know, you can tell them anything.

We’ve been here before so The Grio can’t possibly be “the first.”  As for as “aggregated and original video packages,” many sources, including the source you’re reading,  have done this for years.   One might also include Russell Simmon’s Global Grind and TV One Online not to mention a few others – doh!
