The Spin: George Zimmerman had broken nose, black eyes, report says – latimes.com
An autopsy of Trayvon Martin, the black unarmed teenager who was fatally shot by a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer, shows that his body had injuries to the knuckles, while a medical report on the shooter, George Zimmerman, shows that he suffered a broken nose, two black eyes, and cuts on the back of his head, according to a Florida TV news channel and ABC News.
What these details, like many others leaked in recent days, will ultimately mean for Zimmerman’s high-profile second-degree murder case is unclear, though they could presumably be used by his defense team to bolster his argument that Martin attacked him and beat him up before he was forced to shoot the teenager in self-defense.

In between my sniffling sneezing achy head couldn’t rest at all because I was fighting a cold germ and refused to take meds too early for fear I’d be up posting in middle the night like this moment, I caught a glimpse of America’s Got Talent aka the new Howard Stern show — with fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel — and it was goooooood.
Dude replaced Piers Morgan, so no where to go but up. Just kidding. No I’m not. Morgan is now boring the hell out of us on CNN. But as I said before, America’s Got Talent was good — so far. Liked Howard Stern on AGT during family hour. However, might not be good to shock my system trying to listen to Stern on radio. Will stick with the PG Stern — and see how the talent flows this season.
Here’s what was trending after the show…
‘America’s Got Talent’ recap: Howard Stern makes his debut

A solar eclipse will block out the majority of the sun on Sunday (May 20) and leave only an outer “ring of fire” blazing high above.
The solar eclipse will be visible from the majority of Asia, the Pacific region and western portions of North America. The event is known as an annular solar eclipse, not annual but instead derived from the Latin “annulus,” meaning “little ring.”
At its peak, the annular solar eclipse will block approximately 94 percent of the light from the sun.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida A&M University’s famed marching band is being suspended for at least one more school year as officials try to cleanse the hazing culture that led to the death of a drum major, the school’s president said Monday.
FAMUPresident James Ammons said the Marching 100 should stay off the field at least until a new band director is hired and new rules for the band have been adopted.
Eleven FAMU band members face felony charges in the November hazing death of Robert Champion, while two others face misdemeanor counts. The band has been banned from performing since soon after he died, and band director Julian White recently retired after it was revealed that at least 100 band members were not students when Champion died.
Ammons said Monday that the university is looking at new rules for the band, including academic standards for band members, limits on eligibility and increasing the number of adults who must accompany the band on out-of-town trips. Champion died on a band bus outside an Orlando hotel.
FAMU set up a task force to look at hazing, although the panel has not met since a flare-up over whether it should follow the state’s open meetings laws. Several members have since resigned.
