Listen to critcs if you want; miss Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and you’ll be mad
June 24, 2009
Take it from a bot virgin, Transformers 2 was excellent. The funny part for me was watching the faces in the theater. Surprised my 13 year old with midnight tickets opening day. My normal movie day is Friday at noon as I can’t stand the crowds. Omg were there crowds and lines galore. Of course we got out tickets at Fandango, allowing us to bypass the ticket line. However so did everyone else. We still had to stand in line just to enter the individual screenings.
Once inside, the very hyped crowd came to pin dropped silence as the previews faded to black. I was trying to get comfortable enough to tweet then doze off – but the sea of cult like faces, mostly males of ALL ages mixed with a few moms, wives, and girlfriends, made me want to wait and see more.
Two and a half hours later I wanted some more. Play it again Sam. Excellent movie. Shia LaBeouf is brilliantly funny with a nice switch up in his method. Certainly not bad on the eyes. Ramon Rodriguez and John Turturro were just off the freaking chain. Tyrese Gibsonwith his few lines and multitude of facial expression will get himself a role – what’s up with that brother? Do your thang. He brings the sexy as always.
Speaking of sexy. The tweets have taken Megan Fox straight to the gutter doing her a great disservice (I think). She held her own. You go girl.
No spoilers, but I’m still laughing and hearing the explosions. Coming out of the theater at 2:41 AM, was expecting to see a bot or two or world domination. They plugged “President Obama,” whereas the President escapes the madness like all presidents leaving the people behind.”
Lastly, why am I hearing this morning about racial undertones – forgetaboutit! Stop the madness. Put your money where your mouth is – just all over the place.
We don’t dish out stars. Excellent is about the best we can say without throwing the Michael Eric Dyson like thesaurus at you. Let it be enough that as stingy as I am with money, know that I’m too busy trying to find the new Optimus Prime action figure, video game, etc to go under the Christmas tree.
