myatlevents.com — On your mark, get set, GO!!!! LEGO fans are invited to join the fun and participate in the fifth annual “LEGO Race Back to School” event at Discover Mills on Saturday, September 19.

To compete in the event, participants need to create a custom-designed vehicle made from LEGO products ONLY and bring it to the Food Court to sign in as early as 11:00 a.m.

The child must have played an active role in building his or her car and be present to compete in the race. No motors of any kind are allowed to power the car’s wheels or tires, and the car must reach the end of the finish line intact or it is disqualified. Cars will be classified into three categories of length: 4 to 6 inches; 6 to 9 inches; and 9 to 12 inches.

First, second and third place trophies will be awarded for each category. Participants are asked to register by Tuesday, September 15 to msneed at simon.com or call 678.847.5243.
