Listen – Why Mr Right Is Wrong For You Right Now with Janks Morton | Dear Daddy – Dealing with life long effects of fatherlessness on women | Great Debates
December 11, 2011
We had the privilege of connecting once again with Janks Morton on the topic of relationships and the release of his latest documentary Dear Daddy. Even with a wonderful father, two awesome grandfathers, when Janks asked “who was the first man you fell in love with,” I was stumped.
How is it that we as women are not equipped to translate and connect the relationship with our fathers and father figures to Mr Right? It got me thinking and dodging the question.
An expert at guiding healing conversations, Morton took us to task, helping myself and callers begin to recognize and even reconcile Daddy issues. Listen via the podcast embedded below or visit our BlogTalkRadio page. Learn Why Mr. Right is Wrong for You Right Now.

At the End of the Day Herman Cain Went Away — TJ Holmes is Changing Channels — Warren Ballentine Out In Atlanta Market | December 7th | Listen
December 8, 2011
Atlanta the end of the day, Wednesday December 7, 2011, Herman Cain went away; TJ Holmes is changing channels; is Warren Ballentine Out in Atlanta; and you are about to get the buzz behind the buzz — listen:
Download this buzz from DryerBuzz.com
Did anyone see or hear from Herman Cain today. Bueller Bueller. Nope not one headline crossed our stream. Newt was last seen kissing up to Donald Trump. So let’s leave it at that. Next
BET Networks announced today a multi-platform talent agreement with award-winning journalist T.J. Holmes. In other words, Holmes is changing channels from cnnFAIL to BETfail. Both networks FAIL. But we give the benefit of hope to BET. More re-branding for the network that dedicated more than a decade to the genre of thugs and gangsters. Apparently that demographic dies off, literally. The deal with Holmes includes a new show on BET as well as content on BET.com in which BET hopes Holmes can bring his many talents to some of the most important and interesting stories to BET’s, let’s face it – new audience. Says Stephen G. Hill, President of Music Programming and Specials at BET Networks, “We look forward to weaving T.J.’s mixture of credibility and charisma into our fabric.”
Warren Ballentine, the truthfighter tweeted today that he was out in the Atlanta radio market. Ballentine told his facebook friends that the decision was made by Reggie Rouse who heads up programming. Tongues started wagging as to who would now fill the midday slot at CBS Radio’s WAOK, sister station to V103 where we hear even the top rated morning hosted by Frank and Wanda is again looking for a producer. What’s going on?

Great Debates LIVE: What’s up with that Brother in Media (and Education): Has he changed his story? | DryerBuzz.com
November 24, 2010
With Americans spending more time following the news, and digital platforms playing a larger role in news consumption as reported by Pew Research Center, the time is now to impact perception and change the way we look . . . at life. We have our bases covered when it comes to traditional media such as print, TV, and Radio and with the playing field level in new media, but are we changing the game? From citizens to lawmakers, we are all impacted by what we see in media. Seeing is believing. Believe that.
When cell phones, email, social networks and podcasts are added in, 44% of Americans say they got news through one or more internet or mobile digital source yesterday. Read More via Americans Spending More Time Following the News
Now factor in the number of minorities delivering the news. Has the story transformed? Or is it still one sided, strongly bias, and spun in one direction? How does minorities in media, African American males in particular, impact our sons? Plus we’ll hear how brothers are impacting education.
For Chike Akua and L. Kobie Wilkerson, the Black male graduation rate in America is absolutely unacceptable. Several months ago The Schott Foundation released its report finding that the national graduation rate for Black males was a lowly 47%, nationally. “It’s unacceptable, given what we know about what it takes for our children to achieve and succeed,” says Akua, an author and former Teacher of the Year who trains teachers on how to increase student achievement, especially African Americans. Akua and Wilkerson have partnered to make the Teacher Transformation Institute the premiere professional development conference for teachers who want to reach African American students. Podcast: If birth control were for men, would we have fewer single mothers? Catch the buzz you missed on “Buzz & Co” Great Debates | DryerBuzz.com
November 18, 2010
We flipped the script for a great debate going inside the headlines and reconnecting men with women and children:“72% of African American babies born to single mothers.” WHAT!
What if the headline read “72% of African American babies born to single fathers (or fathers committed to other women),” or 72% of African American babies born to single parents.“ Why does the headline NOT say “single parents” highlighting the real issue which has to do with dating, mating, and how marriage is viewed in society as a whole.
We took the topic head on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in a great debate with an awesome podcast panel. Catch the Buzz you missed – listen on-demand to ‘Buzz & Co’ Great Debates. Make sure to share the podcast.
