Slow Your Scroll Poll: Do birds of a feather flock together when single or married? The Pew Research Center which continually tests the climate of public opinion through various polls, surveys, and consensus reports said in 2007 that ”even though a decreasing percentage of the adult population is married, most unmarried adults say they want to marry, ranking “faithfulness:” and “happy sexual relationships” higher than “bearing children.” A clear sign of the times since children seem to come before, during, and after marriage these days. It also says “married adults are more satisfied with their lives than are unmarried adults. “ Lastly, the report tells us “marriage is exerting less influence over how adults organize their lives.” We say all this to ask, what is your status among your inner circle?

It’s that time of year – Spring – to choose an array of ball gowns as invitations start to flow for upcoming charity, foundation, or organization galas. But in the wake of AIG, public criticism and audit, is it time to scale it back? While attending a gala usually has a consciencious effort or cause associated, could benefactors benefit more sans the gala? Does the same public scrutiny extend to national organizations in a downward economy?

Steele becomes first African-American RNC chairman

Stop the Madness

First the country hits rock bottom and elects President Barack Obama. Now the republican party headed to its grave, elects Michael Steele as Republican National Committee Chair. As one CSpan caller put it “is this another RNC gimmick?” He was referring to Alaska Governor Sara Palin’s run as VP.

CNN reports Michael Steele, a former Maryland lieutenant governor, was elected chairman of the Republican National Committee on Friday.

Sorry world, that hand basket is lit and on its way to hell. No stopping now.

Twitter Me This: Crying Over Split Tweets Obama, Britney Spears hacked – other accounts stolen

Twas quiet on the twitter front this Monday. Unable to access our most popular twitter account, didn’t feel much like doing anything else. January 2, 2009 we predicted the death of twitter and on January 3rd until now, it has felt like we’re attending its wake. Though we were wrong about the source (though hilghly frustrated with a single culprit) it seems a more serious attack loomed.

Saturday we tweeted our friends for their hot blog posts for the weekend for our weekend update. Just as we had asked for the barage of links, there it was, the scam. Not paying full attention, clicked the link. That wasn’t the worst. Got distracted and when turning back to the PC saw the sign on screen. Shocked that we were or appeared to be “logged out”, we logged back in and thus hacked.

Though news traveled fast through twitter with folks complaining about getting so many DM’s, the solution was slowly traveling. We changed our password. However to our surprised, on Monday morning we no longer could access the account. Stolen! Our most popular twitter profile is at this point going. @Sistory is what we morn at this point instead of twitter. Twitter is still kicking and thanks to the turmoil, its getting thousand of new members by the minute.

Rather than cry of spilt tweets, we’ll just wait for a solution and hope we don’t have to lose this profile for good. Meanwhile, we’re incogtwito – back home @DryerBuzz.

Update 01.10.09: Now you know these brothers (Steve and Katt) surely plan to bring a hella DVD from this show, but distribution just be slow as heck. Therefore most folks are getting their laugh on already from a few youtube clips from the show.

Now I once went to a Muslim event and before I got to the front door, they had transcripts, tapes, CDs, and DVD before I could my coat. So I don’t know what’s up with Steve and Katt’s deal. How you gonna sell a New Year DVD in the summer. Get on that! Go get your laugh on>>

The Buzz (at New Years)

It’s cold in Detroit, but the heat is about to be on (lol what a cliche), anyway twitter is buzzing about the anouncement that Katt Williams who we last saw ducking and dodging in a hotel lobby might be feeling better and have a great story to tell when he takes the stage to battle Steve Harvey. I’m looking to see if AirTran has a special on right now, cause I’d love to see this and don’t want to wait for the DVD.
