After years of studying, sacrificing, and living like a student; graduation day has finally arrived. The excitement of completing your remarkable goal has ended. Now comes the hard part, paying your student loans back on time. Do not be late for your first payment because this is where the balls roll down hill.

Being late on Federal Student Loans can:

• Make it hard for you to get a car loan, a mortgage, or even an apartment lease by crushing your credit score immediately.
• Allow lenders to charge additional interest on your unpaid debt, which increases your loan balances.
• Subject you to additional collection fees or worst have parts of your paycheck garnished.
• No legal statue of limitations for student loans.

Student loans are reported to credit agencies like any other lenders. Even if you are still a student, loans are reported to the three agencies accordingly. Something to remember, pay this loan, because it is normally associated with the government and Uncle Sam have unique methods for getting their loans repaid.
